With support and direction from Swedish Hospital, North Park University’s Health Services provides a variety of services for students to improve or maintain their health, obtain appropriate medical care, and make healthy life choices.
What’s Happening in Health Services
Stop the Bleed!
The Stop the Bleed campaign is a nationwide program focused on educating individuals on what to do in the event of life-threatening bleeding. Health services is bringing a certified trainer to campus on March 20th. You will learn how to apply pressure & apply a tourniquet. Register here. Email llucas-lukosevicius@xgcr.net for more information or to be placed on waitlist if unable to register.
Health Portal
Access the student health portal at northpark.studenthealthportal.com. Use existing student North Park credentials to login to schedule appointments.
CPR Courses
Health services will be offering the AHA’s Heartsaver Adult CPR AED course on February 9 and February 23 from 1:30–4:00 p.m. Registration is required and space is limited. If interested in these courses or a future CPR course, email llucas-lukosevicius@xgcr.net for more details.
Healthy Relationships & Reproductive Health Event
Health services will have an informational table at the Johnson Center February 14 from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. where you can learn about healthy relationships & reproductive health.
Location and Office Hours
Health Services and Counseling Support Services are both located at 3317 West Foster Avenue (four doors west of the North Park Postal Center).
Office hours are Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters. Director of Health Services and registered nurse Julia Guzman (jeguzman2@xgcr.net) along with campus nurse Lyndsay Lucas-Lukosevicius (llucas-lukosevicius@xgcr.net) are available five days a week from 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
You can email Health Services or refer to the FAQ for questions about where to seek medical care when Health Services is not open or the nurse is not present on campus. For medical emergencies please call 911.
Helwig Recreation Center
North Park students, faculty, and staff all have unlimited access to Helwig Recreation Center, which offers a variety of exercise equipment and classes, intramural athletics, and wellness education.
Counseling Support Services
Along with physical health resources, North Park provides student care resources for mental and emotional health.
Sexual Misconduct Resources
Sexual misconduct is an umbrella term and encompasses discrimination based on sex. This policy outlines prohibited behavior, reporting options and the available resolution processes.
